Springboard received a beautiful award from the city of Binan for the Mercy Meal project. 255 000 meals were served thanks to the Orphan Grain Train who donated one 40foot container full of fortified rice meals and Kids International Ministries who facilitated the release of the shipment, the Australian New Zealand Association who donated the funds for the release in Manila, GoForward Foundation and the city of Binan who worked tirelessly distributing the meals and the Springboard TEAM who supervised it all, selected the passionate groups who implemented, applied for the sending of the meals and wrote all the reports. A great effort by a network of people who do good with the amazing result of feeding the hungry, bringing 255 000 meals to the poor. We fed people from Tondo, Manila, Binan, Montalban, Merville, Negros and so many more. Fire victims were served as well as people living on old garbage dumps of Manila. Sometimes good things happen.
