Kinderhilfe Philippinen is a children’s village that takes care of more than 100 abandoned and abused children. They are involved in many community development projects such as improving hospital facilities and schools, building of daycare centers, water projects and natural disaster relief operations.

Kinderhilfe has donated more than twenty day care centers and more than ten school buildings to Maasin City. It has done the same to its hometown Padre Burgos and other towns of Southern Leyte. Apart from the infrastructure it has built, Kinderhilfe distributed medicines and gave medical assistance to children in need of help. Not only that, they sent hundreds of children to school, provided them with free board and lodging, uniforms and school needs, until they graduated college. Most notable are the free operations on children with cleft-lip-palate. Kinderhilfe also provided portable water supply, hospital equipments and home economics buildings to barangays. As a non-government organization, it always encourages partnership with the local government especially in providing counterpart of labor in transporting materials, fare in transporting patients, and other miscellaneous works which benefit the whole program itself.

Springboard Foundation financed 6 daycare centers, facilitated a donation from the German Embassy for the renovation of a new community hospital roof and purchased 10 sewing machines.

A total of 2,079,318.90 Pesos was given in cash and in kind to Kinderhilfe Philippinen.
