This year’s Christmas Hamper Appeal was a success with 1,400 hampers packed and sent out all across Manila to deserving families. Volunteers flocked to this years packing which saw a record amount of bags packed in a record amount of time. Just goes to show that many hands make light work.
We would like to send a massive thank you to the following for their outstanding generosity towards the Christmas Hamper Appeal: Springboard Foundation Germany, British School Manila, Sunrise Resources Ltd., British Women’s Association, Colliers, Arcadis and thank you to all of you who made personal donations. No matter how large or small the donation was, at least one family got to enjoy a Christmas Dinner this year.
Also a special thanks goes out to Union Church for letting us use their facilities for packing and to Lane Moving and Storage for providing transport for the day. Finally, a special thank you to Lois Winters and her team who spent the months leading up to the Christmas Hamper appeal making Christmas cards. All proceeds from the cards went towards the appeal. Also Sarah McLeod, deserves thanks for organising the Christmas Bazaar and Garage Sale and the Christmas Hamper Appeal.
The distribution of the Christmas Hampers have taken place across many sites both within and outside of Metro Manila. From schools to flooded communities to communities living by the railway, the Christmas Hampers have reached an eclectic range of distribution sites.
